ROCCI, in conjunction with FNB held its Annual Business of the Year Awards on Saturday, 19 November 2017 at Silverstar Casino. The Annual Business of the Year Awards is recognised as one of the most prestigious business events on the Roodepoort calendar. ROCCI and FNB celebrated their 10th anniversary as co-hosts of the prestigious Business of the Year Awards. ROCCI is one of South Africa’s biggest Chamber of Commerce and was the runner up in the SBi Business Chamber of the Year Awards in 2017 in the Diamond Category.

There were over 500 nominations for the ROCCI/FNB 2017 Business of the Year Awards in vari-ous categories with 121 organisations and companies making it through to the final round.

This start up company currently manages the repackaging of fortified nutritional dried foods for a various suppliers. The company objective is to render their packaging services to both small and large companies, creating further reliable and sustainable job opportunities for women.

Amathuba Mahle Packaging (Pty) Ltd is the 2016 Business of the Year Bronze Winner in the Emerging Business category.

SACCI Chamber of the Year 2015
The award will be a special recognition award based on a strong motivation from the par-ticipating Chamber. The Chamber must motivate why they should be considered for the award by demonstrating a range of achievements during a period of 18 months.

The evening was an unforgettable occasion with the charming Derek Watts as Master of Ceremonies, with his easy manner and ready smile he kept the guests entertained.

Michelle Geraghty FNB Regional Head Gauteng South West Business Banking introduced the Guest Speaker Mr. Sizwe Nxedlana Chief Economist for FNB and he delivered a positive message to all businesses.
